"there is no such thing as a bad question"....i think any amp, when the eq is set properly should make that guitar sound good esp an acoustic amp....what seems to be the "not too good" sound?

for some reason my chets always sounded like its got a lil distortion thrown on there so even when i mute strings it gets all fuzzy. songs like tripping billies and grey street sound horrible cuz u can here the muted strings buzzing like crazy. it sounds cool for some songs like say goodbye but i dont really like adding dirt to any of dave's songs

Hmm.... I've played my chet through a whole bunch of amps, and I've yet to find one that makes the chet sound crappy. Sometimes I'll play through a fender (electric, not acoustic amp) and just add a little bit of gain, so when I really dig the pick into the strings I can get a little dirt. The rest of the time it's smooth as silk though. Another amp I really liked using was a Hughes and Kettner bass amp. It had great response and since the chet is such a bassy guitar it made the thing sound friggin' huge!

If you've got any specific questions on amps, let me know, and I'll see if I can help you.

I currently own a Roland AC-60 and the Chet sounds good n all but does anyone have any recommendations for amp settings to make it sound unbelievable.
