Garrison guitars
Anyone have any opinions on them? Has anyone played one? I'm thinking about getting one but I'm not sure I'd be able to play it before I bought it. I know this is bad, but I went to play some guitars the other day and I really didn't notice a huge difference between them yet. I'm a newbie, and just wanted a good axe to start off with... I'm hoping it'll help me from getting discouraged if I just plain suck at the start.
Anyone thoughts about them? Thanks a lot!

couldnt tell ya about the guitars but dont get discouraged. everyone sucks at the start thats why you have to learn how to play. you can always get lessons or some crap like that. anyway if you dont want to waste money buying a piece of crap acoustic and would rather just get a pretty good/cheap one you can always go for an ovation.

shane's right, everyone sucks at the start but if you keep at you will get better. Personally, I wouldn't recommend Ovation guitars for a beginner, and I've heard good things about Garrison guitars. Here's there site - read all you can about the different guitars and maybe ask a friend who's an experienced guitar player for their help and advice.

yeah, Garrisons blowing seagulls away is definately not a fact, it is a merely an opinion. I havn't played a Garrison so I can't judge them fairly. I have played a few seagulls though and I liked them so to each his own.johntherevelator wrote:i dont know about blowin seagulls away....Xoosh wrote:i LOVE garrison guitars. they blow seagulls away... i really think they are some of the best low end guitars i've ever seen.

They're really nice actually
I'm from Nf. where Garrison guitars are made, they are surprisingly a nice guitar. I know quite a few new guitarists who's first axe is a Garrison. They have great tone quality and great action as well. I'm planning to buy one as my next guitar.
Hope this helps,
Dave
