Alchemy Strings?

Unread post by Danielp » Fri Mar 12, 2004 8:16 pm

Anyone know if these are any good or not? They are supposed to be spaceship technology coated, and are gold plated or omething along those lines. From the box it said it was supposed to have a bright sound with the benefit of what coated strings have.

they played fairly well, not as good as elixirs but my main problem with them was the gold looked like someone had pissed on my guitar strings.

i tried a set of alchemy's... they were goldbronze mediums... they sounded QUITE awesome at first, and they did last a good long time. Not the comfiest thing to play, but thats personal opinion. I sure do agree with the ugliness factor though. They were ugly enough as yellow strings, but even uglier as the coating started to wear off in blotches.

Yeah, they're alright. I would go the extra couple bucks and get Elixers though. I used Alchemy for quite a while, but switched over to Elixers and I'm glad I did.
