Buying a new guitar

Rock and Roll was not created on a Strat at all. Definatly Les Paul and ES-335

sorry...ONE of the guitars that MODERN rock and roll was REFINED with.

i agree that the LP and 335 are up there, too. but to say that "not created on a strat at all"? like i said before, by no means am i a strat fluffer...but considering how much Jimi (and countless others) infuenced modern guitar playing in rock and roll, on a strat...i think the above statement is wrong. alot of electrics contributed, i was simply trying to sum up the importance of the strat and how they shouldn't ever be dismissed by some guy who probably just thinks its "cool" to bash the most recognizable guitar, because it makes you sound knowledgable to go against the grain.

the strat definetly had a large part in forming the sound of rock and roll, everbody in the modern rock world played em like 3-4 years ago. i justr dont like the guitar. I dont like fords but i would never deny the model T's historical importance. fact of the matter is better cars have been made. and better guitars have been made as well. the strat is a big part of rock history no doubt

Jesus Christ, when people say they "helped shape the sound of modern rock" they aren't talking about 3-4 years ago. They're talking about Hendrix, Clapton et al.

i missed the word everybody and a coma, im sayin that they shaped the sound of rock AND like three or four years ago everybody played em.
edit: i think most clapton sounds better on an acoustic... hell i think most music sounds bettter on an acoustic
