why's that? never had a chance to play one since they're pretty rare, but from what I've heard they're beatiful and have a good sound. but hey, if i won the lottery i would buy a brazilian, east indian, engelmann spruce... well i'd buy a lot of them.

there is not a single guitar with a braz top. why? because its not a topwood. its not strong enough. and then theres also the fact that youd still have to have braz back and sides.
chances are it would be the muddyiest guitar youve ever heard. it would be a horrible investment.

SO ..... 3 days after switching to nano's ... (if my math serves me correctly

), I switched back to D'addario Medium NON COATING strings, and I couldnt be more happier. I actually ENJOY playing guitar again now instead of being in a very awkward string gauge with awkward coating strings. I dont know why, maybe its because I play harder than is required with lights, but I couldnt get ANYTHING to sound halfway decent, and even my strumming was thrown off by it ... well maybe I just thought my strumming was off cause everything sounded off ... but oh wll ... never again will I buy a coated string.
So what the hell, has anyone experienced this? Especially Jimi Thing with the lights just sounded off .... weird ....
