Quick M1 Active Question:

If I leave my guitar plugged in when not in use, will it drain the internal battery on the M1 active?

all decent guitars have an endpin "whole" but it is not big enough to accommodate a 1/4 inch jack or preamp. the hole must be made larger via drilling in most cases.
I agree, however, I know for a fact that Larrivee's are pre-drilled to recieve a 1/4" jack; I work @ Long & McQuade music store, and I have personally installed several M1's into Larrivees. There is a small plug that fills the 1/4" whole and the enpin is screwed into that. You remove the endpin as well as the plug, and the jack for the M1 simply slides right in.
really? thats fuckin awesome

It's not pre-drilled anywhere else on the guitar, what I mean is, if you unscrew the strap pin, there is a small plug that fills that whole. If you pull the plug out, you now have a 1/4" whole to slide the M1 into.

you dont "unscrew" an endpin, its not threaded.

im calling shenanigans. ready your brooms gentlemen.

edit: ive done some googling: theres some arguing going on on the larrivee boards about this, but as best I can tell, new larris only come with a stock 1/4 inch hole. if you ask for a model that typically has electronics but you dont want them or you ask them to, they will pre-drill the 1/2 inch hole and plug it. as far as i can tell, this is not by any means standard practice on all of their guitars and has only started recently by customer request.

ill keep my eyes peeled and my broom readied

Mine did have an endpin. I got my M1-A put in yesterday and it sounds amazing. The guy at the store said it was a really easy install so he did it for free. :D

"It would depend upon the year your guitar was built. If it has the large
strap button, then it is set for a 1/4" already. If it's the screw-in
type of strap button, you will need to drill the guitar."

that was the response i got from the larrivee customer service regarding the endpin.
