and as far as part duex, its alright, more of a parlor guitar, i dont like parlor guitars...
Film email the people at guitar adoptions and ask your local guy if he can come close to matching it. Additionally, Larrivee's L series is definately a full size guitar not a parlor. Its measurements are actually very similar to a dread just 1/4 inch more shallow and with a smaller waist. In comparision to the OM it's slightly bigger in every aspect other than the upper bout. If you've never played the L you should check one out they are very versatile.
the picture made it look parlorish... bastards... anyway ill do that. thanks man.

I love that flamed sunburst so much better --but you got to pay for it and it doesnt affect how it sounds or plays

The the koa sounds different but amazing. About a year ago i had set in my mind what guitars sounded good and which ones did not. Recently though i have come to appreciate the many different sounds of different guitars. Sure the koa is not going to sound as "good" as spruce/rosewood or mahogony, but then again koa is not spruce... This koa is good because it has the ability to make itself heard because its so loud and different. I would also say that you need to get out there and check out a dreadnought taylor koa, you will be surprised at how good these babies sound, just as good as any spruce or rosewood. My 714 is rosewood and i would have a hard time telling you which of these guitars sound better.... Its all about variety man. I have played some really shitty koa guitars (I saw a takamine for like 700 didnt sound too good, a little muted). Its the namebrand too, taylors design is what makes the guitar more than anything. Did any of you see the guitar taylor made out of scrap 2x4 wood? Still sounds good... lol
