I bought this guitar 3 years back from Sting's guitar tech. I will try to put something else in the pictures to prove it is from me. Say what you want if you can't afford it. This one is very special and much different from the production DM3MD. I thought this board could produce a serious buyer. This way I don't have to deal with eBay and Nigeria and perhaps a true fan like myself can own it.
You shouldn't be surprised of all the skeptics. Only an idiot would send any kind of money to someone they have never met for something they have never seen. There are a few people on the boards with DM3MD's, but no one dumb enough to send you a check with out confirming if the guitar is real or even worth 10K like you claim.
Selling stuff on the internet 101 :
1. take a ton of pictures of your product
2. describe every detail of product, how you acquired it, why are you selling it
3. have good feedback (scammers have no feedback and/or new accounts)
4. if you're new or have no feedback have someone with good feedback confirm your product (this was done before on this board for the purchase of a DM3MD)
5. take more pictures/videos/sound clips
After you follow these steps than people will take you seriously and soon you will start talking business. From your last post, I see you are on your way. I would buy it for that price only if it was for charity and Dave Matthews signed it and drew some of his artwork on it. Good luck.

All good advice.
And to thinking you would find a buyer on here, you have to remember that most people on this board are 25 and under. There are a some older than that, but not vast majority is younger and unable to drop $10K on a guitar. I would try either

I always thought Dave owned #'s 1-3, as most artists who have signature guitars made by a company own the prototypes as well as the first few production models, I know this is true for Steve Vai and the Ibanez JEM series, the new 20th anniversary edition that came out a while ago is highly sought after, only 200 available and he owns the first 3 that he takes on tour or leaves at home in his studio.
DMB shows attended: 4/12/05 - Molson Amphitheater, 9/12/06 @ Air Canada Centre.
Upcoming: DMB June 9th 2009 @ Molson Amphitheater

The date of the sale in one of those photos is 10/4/03...how is that possible with the person putting for sale here on the boards in 2007?

I know this thread is super old, but has this guitar been sold? I can't seem to send a PM to the original poster.
