even after the advice given here you really need to just go to the store and play with that amp. bring your guitar, and/or any pedals you might want and play away. you gotta test these things.
and really you can run any effects or guitar through any amp you might like. i got a line 6 and my acoustic can sound raspy and electric with a quick switch of a button. or smooth like accoustic. and it can fill a HS gym. solid state. and i must have played on like 10 different amps at Guitar Center for like 3 weeks before i finally made my choice. i couldn't be happier.
