a Larrivee LV-03RE will kick any of those Martin's asses, trust me. or any other Larri for that matter.
you are paying for the guitar, not the name on the headstock.
Help ! pick one of thoes guitars or Save?
Oh, that guitar is a laminate just so you know. If you are going for an investment that will last you a long time, I wouldn't go with that. Laminate guitars deteriorate over time, while solid wood guitars get better as they get older.RaSh wrote:http://www.mguitar.com/guitars/choosing ... %20Ellipsebrian_ok wrote:I'm not finding the XC15 anywhere, can you post a link Rash?

After reading on their website, I'm actually not entirely sure anymore. (Mostly because they are purposely unclear about a guitar if it is laminate.)RaSh wrote:the solid Sitka spruce top is laminated , its not wood , how do u know if its solid or laminated
However, Martin guitars with an X in their name are laminate. and, for the back and side wood under the XC15, the material is Satinwood HPL, which sounds 99% like a laminate to me.
EDIT: and andre, what's with the 40 year old virgin photo?

My girlfriend speaks fluent Arabic. She lived in Jordan for a few years. I like it. She taught me how to say "hello, my name is Cory."RaSh wrote:Yeah i live in Cairo - Egypt

laminate doesnt deteriorate, it just stays exactly the fucking same. natural wood gets alot more resonant and richer with time.brian_ok wrote:Oh, that guitar is a laminate just so you know. Well after lookin at some reviews and reading praisedave`s post (it`s amazing btw man thnx alot) i think that it would be wise to buy an all solid wood Guitar, i need something that stays alot of time with me and sounds better with time, so its down to these 4 since i want a Martin:
Martin D15
Martin D-15 Custom Spruce and Mahogany
Martin DM Dreadnought
Martin OOO15
Oh and "COR" thats gr8 man but the thing is There`s Arabic Arabic then there is Egyptian arabic and in ur GF case it jordanian arabic etc.
Its kinda like when you hear ppl in certain places in the UK speaking english and you dont get a word, arabic is like that only 99999999999 times bigger.
so like for "hi" u can say: hala, ahlan, marhaba, ezaiak etc

RaSh, make sure you don't want to save a little bit more and get a Martin from the 16th series. Or maybe wait a couple of months more and go for the Standard Series.
For me, it was the right decision, although I had to wait almost a year. I don't regret it now, since my heart is blown away everytime I open my D35 case...
Since you want electronics, maybe you could wait for a DC-16GTE.
Just my opinion though...

im gonna take a look at the guitars you mentioned and see if i can squeez more $$, as for electronics i think im gonna get the "Imix" from "lr baggs", it got some gr8 reviews, and ppl say its worth the extra $, coz at first i was thinking about gettin the Martin Thinline Goldplus or Acoustic Matrix Natural II but i think the lr baggs Imix is better.
