if you're thinking about a Larri then you might email the folks at http://www.guitaradoptions.com, you'd be able to get a standard OM-03 under 700$ and an OM-03R for somewhere between 7 and 8.
where are you seeing under 7, i found an OM-03 for $819, nothin under... and the OM-03R is $944

i can get stuff that beats that in town.

Fender US Highway 1 Strat
Martin HD-28
Crappy Dean Acous/elec
My beater alvarez (1st guitar)

For amplification it goes Strat> Boss BD-2>MXR Dyna Comp>Fender 65 Twin Reverb reissue

I also have a crybaby wah, but I forgot to get an extra cord for it, so I only use it every once in awhile until I have time to run out to the music store.

You'll have to email them for their lowest price. Larrivee, as with all makers have what's called MAP (minimum adverstised price) and that's the lowest price a dealer can advertise a new guitar for.

Edit: FWIW I got my L-03R for 790$ through another dealer. I would have went through guitar adoptions but they didn't have a lefty.

Edit Part Deux: I know you want an OM but if an L tickles your fancy check out this L-02 at elderly http://www.elderly.com/vintage/items/20U-9564.htm

Film email the people at guitar adoptions and ask your local guy if he can come close to matching it. Additionally, Larrivee's L series is definately a full size guitar not a parlor. Its measurements are actually very similar to a dread just 1/4 inch more shallow and with a smaller waist. In comparision to the OM it's slightly bigger in every aspect other than the upper bout. If you've never played the L you should check one out they are very versatile.
