I played an HD28, D35, and D41 Special today. I didnt really care for the 28, the 35 sounded awesome (and it would be in my price range) the 41, most amazing thing Ive ever played, it was priced at $3,500.00 I felt like I shouldnt of even been holding it let alone jamming out on it. It sounded amazing though.

I just got an Ibanez Artist AR300 with the brown sunburst. This guitar is perfect for anyone that wants a Les Paul sound for a fraction of the price. The guitar has a flamed maple top with mahogany neck and body. It comes with two super 58 humbuckers and a three-way switch. This is really one kick ass guitar that sounds great clean or distorted. The neck is also very comfortable to play on. This is also a beautiful guitar, I find myself staring at it when I'm not playing it.

I really would recommend this guitar to anyone who wants a great sound without paying a lot of money. Honestly, I couldn't justify spending the extra money on a more pricey guitar because this one is great. Pics can be found here:

I've got hold of an Ovation Celebrity CC057 model. I'll say that mine is better than what I hear alot of people say about Ovation guitars. I've played a handful of high-end guitars, and they sound wonderful of course. My Ovation has better tone that alot of people give it credit for, I have no trouble getting a full tone that sounds like it was made of all wood.

My complaints are smaller things, nothing too serious. The action is a slight bit higher than I personally prefer, and since my left hand got messed up a few years back, I have a bit of trouble getting enough force on the strings to do barre chords. I can do it, but it only sounds decent if I'm strumming to high-heaven. It also rolls off your knee sometimes when you sitting with it on your lap due to the composite round back.

Aside from that, I think this is a pretty decent guitar. I got mine for about $300, but I've been told the usual price is at about $650 or so. I wouldn't exactly suggest this to be some high-end 'this is my baby' sort of guitars, but it is better than alot of people give it credit for, in my opinion.

I've never liked Ovations. scratch that, I've always hated them. That's just me though; I'm glad you're happy with yours!

Didn't intend for that to come off as "more money spent, better quality" as a definate thing. I always love when the cheaper things in life are the best. I still play my starter guitar all the time. ^_^

I have an Alvarez RD8. I got it for $230 with the case. It is a great guitar for a main or beater. I am looking at a Taylor or Larivee now :)
