Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": I'm thinking about getting metal legs. It's a risky operation, but it'll be worth it.

Play an expensive one!

STRATS are too bland...you can adventure more with a GIBSON!
I have a 2 grand strat and a 2 grand les paul in my living room right now, my strat kills it, but I play more blues and jazz with it, and it's just better for that.
strats are good for some stuff.. not the best rock guitars though.. thats why id like the guitar i get to have humbuckers with coil splitters... or maybe like the godin sdxt where it has the H-S-H setup

True...strsts do get you some jazzy sounds, but a les paul is all of that and a bag of chips!

i found out the price i could get for a godin flat five (latest godin model,http://www.godinguitars.com/godinflatfivep.htm) is about $1100 (list around $1500). the lgx (http://www.godinguitars.com/godinlgxp.htm) is a previous model and i could get it for around $800. i think its obvious which one is better.. the bridge on the flat five probably gives it more sustain, and since its hollow it would give it a better acoustic tone.. there are a couple of problems though.. first off the lgx is a few hundred less.. godins have hardly any resale value around here.. theyre from canada.. i live in florida.. not many know about them even though theyre really good.. flat fives are also pretty hard to come by unfortunately. if any of you have ever played a godin, you know that theyre good.. some think better than any gibson.. if you have any opinions on the guitars please reply.. (also - if u know what an A, a AA, and a AAA top are, please say that too)
