i don't know fatty, jammin before a show is pretty fun. not to show-off for people, but to but hang out with your friends, make music and get pumped up for the show--how can that be bad?

fatjack i remember saying that we should meet up and play sometime but i take that back heh since you dont' want to be around people that can't sing and play heh

If they are doing it out of love for the band, then I say let them butcher songs if thats what they wanna do... Does that make any sense???

But, if they thought they didn't suck, that still counts as paying tribute to a band you love. Anywho, I get where you're coming from and I've experienced the same thing. I guess I'm the opposite of you (maybe not), but I would be the person to gather a whole bunch of people to jam with, then when it came down to start jamming, i would be nervous as all hell

it seemedd like they were doing it just to get people to pay attention... and that is the worst reason to jam. i jam with people so i can have a good time playing music with people who understand whats going on. i dont give a damn about people being there. in fact, i prefer that only people who are playing are there to witness the jam session (not because of nerves, but because its much more enjoyable that way)

definitely. it's like people who make what they're doing so blatantly obvious that it just comes off as self-absorbed and obnoxious. i'd rather have 2 or people who appreciate jammin' out and the music than a whole crowd of people who don't have a bloody clue 'bout what's going on.
