more like porno to guitars....
the nice thing is you don't have to minimize the window when someone comes in...you can just worry about zipping your pants...

True, but if you don't zip up quick enough, whoever is walking in might be a tad confused.

I cannot believe I have aided in the digression of this post.

Back to topic, I have decided that I will buy me self a 310 at most likely a guitar center. I haggled a salesman down to either $920 straight up, no tax; or $920 plus tax, but including a 2-year extra coverage thing. So, I'm thinking about going the second route, paying around $980 altogether, but getting that coverage plan, cuz its still a sweet deal. It also comes with a case, and I'll probably get a free humidifier too because I'll say some guy who owns his own acoustic only store will throw one in for free to his customers. As for my reasoning on the 310, I love the sound, action, playability, everything about it. I don't feel like I need to spend a few hundred more for a ce with the ES in it. I don't want a pickup in it until I need it. The only reason I would need it would be to record stuff for you guys to listen to. Once I get a lil better and start to right/record my own stuff, I'll think about it then. What does everyone think about this??? And I don't wanna hear, don't be a pussy, save up for the summer limited 414ce or whatever. I need some motivation saying that I'm doin the right thing. Cuz, I also have to buy a new comp for school in two months, so I need some left over cash.

don't worry 'bout the digression.
sounds like a plan, though.

just do what ya gotta do man. but, saving up for a comp isn't that hard, if it's only for school. just build your own...i'm sure you could muster up a great school comp for around 400 dollars and save yourself another few hundred, unless you're wanting something that'll let ya game, etc.
the only thing about getting the 414ce with ES now is that it'll save you the trouble later...it's a "stealthy" system as they like to advertise and you don't have to worry about installing it, and since it's normally included on higher end guitars, it'll save you some money too. but then again, maybe i'm just a lazy bum who doesn't want to install

. hehe.
but mostly, get the guitar you love. and if you're set on the 310, then hell, go for it. who gives a damn 'bout what we have to say?

Cool, well thats what it looks like right now. If GC gives me shit for my electric, which they shouldn't, then I'll end up selling it on EBay with the rest of my gear, and I'll buy the guitar from the local guy cuz he was real cool, and his 310 sounded like one of the best. I really would like to buy from him cuz of all the attention my guitar will get. He said that if you still live in the area, he wants to see your guitar at least twice a year to check up on it, make any asjustments, etc. for as long as you have the guitar which is really cool. The only downside to that is that he is selling is 310 for $1050, but that comes with case, humidifier, hygrometer, etc. I think I could sell my guitar for at least $300 because it is a limited edition guitar. The finish is transparent blue quilt top, not flame top which is what they make now. IMO this quilt top looks amazing. I'll have to borrow my Dads digital camera to take some pics of it cuz I can't find any online. Anyway, thanks for the input and hopefully I'll have a guitar soon.
PS. I think I'm going to be selling my electric on EBAY. Just gotta get that camera from my Dad then its all good.

Yeah!!! Thats pretty cool you live in Sandusky I take it??? Have you been there before??? Their 310 is actually $950, and I haven't really talked to anyone there about it yet cuz its only 10 mins from my house. I live in Bay Village which is a suburb west of Cleveland, you ever hear of it? Anyway, I'm gonna bring my electric and amp up their tomorrow and see what they shoot at me. If their offer is around 500, I'm sold. Well, I'll just have to wait and see.

Well, I will most likely be selling my guitar to GC, but I won't be buying a guitar from there. An AWESOME DMBtabs.com member PM'd me about how he is selling his 310, so I am going to stop by his house next saturday, cuz he lives only 2 hours away from me, and most likely buy it.

just make sure you can name the guitar, otherwise you'll never love it...
which gives me an idea for a thread...
