how much would it cost to get an Expression System put into a 110?

BTW, is the 110 acoustic electric?

nope... 110 is all they have as of now...

a 110c would be a cutaway...and a 110ce is cutaway with electronics (onboard)...you won't often see a 110e...electronics usually go hand in hand with cutaways...

I say go with a Martin...then when you think your playing time/ability 2warrants an upgrade, go for it...

My take on the 110...nice little guitar but overpriced at $550...the composite body felt like it was gonna break under my arm if i squeezed too hard...it does have the solid top and the action was fairly low...it has the nice bright tone that taylors have...but i played a few low end takamines(that were $250-$300) that sounded just as good or better that came with pickups...the 110 isn't a bad guitar at all and if you have the money get it...but i think it this case you're just paying for the name when you could get a $500 alvarez, takamine, or even an ibanez that could sound even better and come with a nice pickup...just my two cents....somewhere shane is having a heartattack...

lol  probably. I agree, the 110 sounded real nice and everything, but it feels like 20 pounds lighter than the 310. I was afraid I was gonna demolish it too. IMO, there is no reason to get a 110 when you can save up money and buy an all solid wood 310. That is if you currently have a job that you can get money from, other wise, if you have no income, just go with a 110. Shane will be missed...he is survived by his hofner 12 string and his godin lgx. Memorial services will be held at the local guitar center where Taylor will unveil its new spruce top caskets in its R.I. P series...

hey, how much would it cost to get the Expression System put into a 314ce? I played one today down at Guitar Center....i'm in love. I mean, i had my eye on it before, but now......wow. compared to my fender, which is kinda a "special olympics" guitar, this thing is a full olympic champion.....wow, I hope my aunt will get this for me for graduation! :D

LOL, funny stuff  .

As for the ES in the 310ce, you would have to custom order it through Taylor, which would cost a lot more money(close to list price I think), and will take quite a while. Personally, I don't plug in all that much, but if you already have, or are looking to buy an acoustic amp that you will plug into a lot, it sounds like a good idea. I was talking to a whole bunch of people about the new ES system and they all said, that if you plan on strumming your guitar real hard in an amphitheater/stadium/arena, its perfect. Other than that application, its pretty much like any other pickup out there. Also, it would probably cost as much to have the ES custom ordered on a 310ce as it would to just buy one of the summer limited 414ce's with the ES. Since I am thinking about purchasing a 310, I can't even think of the possibility that I won't get it in a month or so, its just waaaaaaayyyyy too much excitement for me, I might go crazy in that time period. But, I sure as hell am not gonna stand in your way. Do whatever you want. As many people on here have already said, if it sounds good to you, buy it.

hey Mr. Speen...where are your sources :?

After careful study, I have found that only the 500 series and up (as of now) are open to be retrofitted with the es; however, the summer ltd. 300 and 400 series come equiped with the es; I believe it can only be retrofitted if the guitar has an NT neck.

However, the summer ltd. 4xx series has not only the beautiful es, but the East Indian Rosewood back (that is on my 814ces!)...

here is a pic of the IR back on a 4xx

you might be better off trying to find one of these at a minimal upcharge...

shop around and see what you come up with ;)

good luck,
