You can't really make the bridge do that on an acoustic cause the soundboard needs to get the vibration from the strings.. maybe you could make a bar that pulled on the bullet ends of the strings to pull the pitch up.. that's the first thought I could come up with on how to do it.busted stuff wrote:I also want to some how put a wammy bar on it. I think that would be really cool. Ok, so I'm kdding. Sorta.

yeah ok
Yeah, so I think I've thought about this too much, but I could either have something that pulls on the neck of the guitar (it's actually pretty cool to just pull on the neck and have the stings bend... you should give it a try) or I could have something that pulls on the stings on the tuning end. I know for banjo you can get special tunning pegs that you can turn in half step increments. I just need to rig it up to a wamma bar somehow. Oh this is gonna be awesome.....

there are guitars that have springs built into the strap pegs to bend strings, I have played a tele that when you pushed down on the back of the guitar it loosened the b string, I forget what they are called though.

my dad makes jazz guitars and we tried to make a solidbody electric, it worked out OK? the body, neck, are alot easier than an archtop, but those electronics are tough. If you have trouble with them take it to a store and they might be able to wire them for you. just remember that once you are done with the guitar, you will have to work on the action and intonation of the guitar for a couple of weeks. you can get all the parts you need from here:

Hope everything goes well, it is well worth the time and money to make a guitar. Good Luck
