Fender Strat vs. Gibson Les Paul

That's definitely a tough choice. The Les Paul is much better looking guitar than the strat. However, the Strat has a lot more trebley tones for that rock sound. Les Pauls are a lot more mellow. Trying out both of them at the music store, I liked the Les Paul, but I think I have to stick with the good old strat.

but I must defend the "rock" sound of a less paul...LP's are some REAL COOKING GUITARS when you get them plugged into some distortion...
