no, but what ive heard hasnt impressed me for the price. for the same amount of money i can get a chet, and a decent les paul or something. both of which i know wont disapoint. also its a new taylor product gotta give it awhile before its perfect.

I played a T5. $1999.99 I enjoyed the sound very much, but that was coming out of the $2000 Bose PA at Guitar Center which I do not have.

The clips sounded "shitty" because it was played through amps in a live situation, you wanna compare the human ear to a shotgun mic filmdude? :lol:

Yeah, the thing is that just as an normal electric guitar sounds different depending on the rig (just imagine all LP users and their different sounds!!!) so does the T5.

The clips might have had the people fixing the set up thinking that it sounded good in their ears, but just as reverb can fuck up a recording even if it sounds good live, so can a rig. Also, its a matter of taste. What sounds "authentic" acoustic to one player doesnt have to sounds the same to another player, therefore you switch around with amps and processors to achieve what you yourself believe is the most authentic sound. Have you tried it out yourself filmdude? Nope... so you haven't compensated with EQ mid roll off and things like that because you've only heard someone elses "version" and therefore you dont like it.

Hey, if all I had heard before getting an Epi LP would had been Slash.. Then I never would have bought it, since I like the Brit sound much more.

That potato is ugly man! Its so fat assed its crazy. And I've never really liked those bridges.

I can see that people think it looks good though, its obvious a lot of work went into the cosmetics of it.
