I strum closer to the bridge for that davy sound, but i think the LP switch is less out of the way than like a strats, plus its only three way so u always get the setting u want

I love that the switch is up at the top. When I play strats and guitars, where the switch is on the lower part, I tend to hit it when I strum hard. I flip them so easily, sometimes. Les Pauls, also, I think are an all around great sound. You can play a Les Paul in almost every style of music.
