This is a terrible idea. Especially if you think you have carpal tunnel syndrome. If you ever wonder how great musicians make it look so easy the answer is simple: it is easy for them. They have reached a level of relaxation, concentration, and precision that frees them to do what they want when they want whithout any more effort than is needed.
Thats why I think learning on a crappy guitar with high action is a bad idea. It makes a habit of using too much force/energy and that all has to be unlearned. But thats beside the point.
