Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": I'm thinking about getting metal legs. It's a risky operation, but it'll be worth it.

yep, it says you play any style on either model, but typically dreadnoughts have more bass and volume so are better for strummers, while the smaller bodies are better for fingerstyle since the sound is more evenly balanced. The L models have a bit deeper body than the OM model so they will be louder so they'll also be better for fingerstyle and strumming than the OM. I heard the OMs were very very nice little guitars.

I think the L model is perfect for me.
good, and you?

heheh yeah, it would be worth the trip I think to check them out. the L-10 has beautiful inlay work, which were designed pretty much by Jean Larrivee's wife. The L-09 is virtually the same in every other way. And the difference with the L-05 is just the mahogany instead of rosewood, which I've heard sounds better than the rosewood on this model. but its all personal preference. They use clear pick guards too because they didn't want to look like they were copying anyone elses :? I like that no pickguard look though, like the Taylor 900 models. someone an acousticguitar message board got his L-03R (rosewood b/s) for $750 !!! and thats shipped from California to Georgia. and he said you could probably get the mahogany b/s model for about $150 less! that is a steal!!!!
good, and you?

Hey gravey-boy, that L-09, that was at $1300, well now it's at $1150. :D :D :D

http://samusic.com/specials/dutchauction.shtml

There it is. The reason the price is so low is that it's on a Dutch Auctions page, which means that everyday, the price is lowered some, until someone buys it. So you want the guitar to go as low as it can before you buy it, but you don't want someone else to snatch it up ahead of you...

I was just looking at the Larrivee.. they had a lakewood M32 on sale for 1400 six weeks ago... SAMUSIC.com is the devil... especially the dutch auction... they always have a guitar i would love for cheaper than normal... so i always think "WOW what a grat buy maybe i should go in debt for it"... ill have one guitar for like ten years... then i come to my senses and close the window...
