Anyone have any advice on humidifers for dreadnoughts. My guitar instructor recommends the Dampit.
Here's a list I found. Personally I think the Dampit looks cheesey and Im afraid that it will drip. I think the planet waves and the Kyser one looks the best and would seem to be the most effect, but they lack the gauge that the Dampit has.
Anyone have any opinions and suggestions on what humidifer they use or would suggest buying?

It's 2 am - I'm drunk again it's heavy on my mind...
...Excuse me please one more drink
Could make it strong cause I don't need to think

I'm using a Dampit. and I havent had any problems with it or my guitar. I just run the wormy looking thing under some water then blot off the excess with a towel and clip it to the low E string if I have it out, or it usually comes with a sound hole cover that you can clip it to and it will hang inside if you have it in the case. Yeah it looks pretty goofy, but I haven't any problems with my guitar and the dorms are dry as hell.
Awesome. Thats exactly why I want a humidifer, other than the fact that you should use one. Our dorms are dry and hot as hell. We have to leave the window wide open and the heat on low..and this still doesn't make the room comfortable. We either roast or freeze. Thanks for your help.

I live in Chaicago so it is eather hot and humid or cold and dry, I recommend going to home depot and buying and humdifer, I got one for $39 dollars with a lcd display and I just set it to 45% and it is always good.
I tried those ones you mentioned and whenever I checked the humidity with my hydrometer (measures humidty not quality of weed) it was to high or way to low. I actully put the hydrometer in the guitar itself. You can pick one of those up for $10 at any cigar shop. I tryto keep both of my guitars at 70 degrees and 45% humidity. Guess just depends what king of guitar you have and are willing to spend. For about $50 you could just be worrie free. Then again I have my two dreams guitars and if there was a fire, well I just hope evrybody go out of the house okay cause all I would worrie about is my 914c and my dm3md.
