can you add electronics?

i'm really confused about the whole process. i'm in the market for a martin road series DR and i can't seem to find one with electronics installed.

also, what's a good system to put in?

thanks

you can. you can either add a soundhole pickup with no cutting required or you can have someone install one professionally.. probably some other stuff too, ive just never had it done.

check out http://www.samusic.com for good pickups

I just had a Fishman Matrix Natural I pickup installed in my guitar last week. The pickup was $89.99 and the labor was $50.00. No onboard controls so you can't even tell it is there.

I would def go that route.

Fishman check out the Neo-D sound hole pickup I tried it, it's great, not too expensive, and I am asking for it as my #1 thing for the holidays. Can't wait to record with my Michael Kelly.
Yes, I am in a box

Soundhole pick-ups have a tendancy to sound "electric" but they are really easy to install and don't modify your git. I would def. check out samusic.com as they have a whole section on pick-ups in the faq.
