To add to (or maybe reiterate) what runswithbuffalo said, you can set the delay very short and get a reverb-ish effect. Tim Reynolds has done this before when playing with Dave. But I personally prefer a dedicated reverb pedal over just setting a short delay. In a crunch, like jamming with a friend, I will use my DD-5 with a short delay for a reverb like effect, but it isn't the exact same thing as reverb.
Would you be able to go somewhere to try both pedals out? Like I said, my personal preference is for a dedicated reverb, but what the DD-6 can do may be good for you and the sound you're looking for.
I agree about the Guitar Center comment. This is why I usually shop online for music stuff now.

Well,
Thanks everyone for the help. I ended up gettin the DD-6 simply because it does have a lot more potential than the RV-5 in terms of versatility. I'm not entirely satisfied with the reverb like settings you get from the DD-6, but I still have much more playing around to do with the settings. I do believe I'll keep the delay pedal and get a reverb down the road because the other features of the DD-6 seem to outweight what I would have gotten out of the RV-5 (and to be honest I feel like the DD-6 is a better gift from someone when it comes down to the fact that I wasn't going to spend my own money on this). Thanks everyone for their help, and if you have any cool suggestions of settings I should try with this thing, I'd love to hear them.
