my friend just gave me a squire strat. iom goign to say im actually impressed by thes ound, i was thinking it would be all twangy. anything free feels better though i know. its a hell of a lot better than droppin 2 gs on a les paul though. so i played for about 3 hours last night. im playing on my acoustic amp which actually has a tiny amount of distortion. its anew amp. i learned layla, master of puppets, idk some phish songs. i was wonder what else i should learn on electric. i need to find an overflowing amount of music, because i know all of daves songs, and i need to expand my genres. any artists i should know about? any songs?

SRV, Clapton, Zeppelin, Hendrix, theres so many. If you like the blues there is Muddy Waters and BB King.

The thing i found with electric is that sometimes if you learn a song it doesnt full without the rest of the band. I just love to solo with mine even tho i just started and im not good. I practicing scales and i got these 3 books 101 licks for rock, blues, and jazz. they pretty good. the blues one is by the far the best. im started to pick up little licks that i now use when i solo.
