Flying with guitar...

Unread post by neophyte » Mon Jun 19, 2006 11:30 am

I bought a very nice Alvarez this weekend and decided to not bring it back home from Atlanta to Cincinnati... Im curious how you guys fly with your guitars and if they can get damaged... or the case even.

So now I have to wait a few more weeks but Id rather do that than have the guitar lost or damaged.

there's like 10 threads on this already you should probably search through them.

short story: detune a bit, put in a hard case, pack hard case with soft packing material you can get at any mailboxes etc.

try to bring it as a carry on. they might let you, they mgiht not.

hard shell case with lock > chip board case > soft case > throing it in by itself.

I must not be very effective with the search function on this board cause I always try that first,

But thanks for the reply, as always/
