I got my D35 for 1900Eur from the States. In Portugal it would be 3500Eur, at least. Thus, a diference of 1600Eur, i.e., nearly $2000... :)

When I started searching for a guitar I wanted to spend less than $1000. I've waited 6 months and it was well worth it!! :)

I know not everytbody wants to do that. So, good luck man!

Taylor Big Baby = Ford Focus
D-15 = Audi A6
Going on the transportation ranking system I guess that a Rogue and a Squire would be a pogo stick and a unicycle.

Got a mail back from the Canadian store. A Martin DM is $300 or so more expensive there than in the US, and they didn't even have a D15. I might gonna have to take advantage of you Czech :)

I've been having trouble finding out how much the shipping would cost though? I've been looking at http://www.usps.com , but haven't been able to really find what I'm looking for.

And there's also the easy option of getting the Landola here in Norway. I guess it depends on how quickly I'll be able to rid myself of my guitars...it might already be sold by then..

If you ship it through an usual company, you might really have to pay VAT in Norway. The probability is quite high...

Check all the possibilities and good luck!

i got an idea, do a 3 way trade.

send Kanter or Dino the money, have them buy you a guitar, swede's gf is going to be in NYC for a few days, they give it to her, she brings it back to stockholm with her. you take a train to stockholm for the day.

EDIT: I am kidding, this reaks of disaster.

just sell your stuff and worst case scenario you get that norwegian guitar you like, best case scenario one of us can buy one for you and send it to you or send it to your brother who might visit?

sorry for hijacking this thread

but i know how it hard and expensive it is to find a taylor outside north america.People here in canada and US don't know how lucky they are when it comes to musical stuff

most of my friends that play guitars in brasil have never heard of taylor or martin until i told them...and they would say it's all the same

i bought an epiphone aj back in 2003...and when my friends played it they were blown away...but everyone here knows there's no comparison (martin, taylor, larrivee with a epiphone)... and wouldn't buy my guitar even if it was the only option

a simple dunlop capo i payed 19 bucks on...costs $67

here's how much a taylors costs over there
Image

considering the minimal wage is about $380 a month...it's not everyday you see somebody playing a taylor
