before i thought about getting the ibanez aef-18 ...but then i was at sam ash on saturday and decided i would go with a lil nicer Takamine. Then yesterday I was browsing guitar center's website and found a very martin acoustic/electric for a decent price. here is the link

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/sid ... id/514816/

does anyone have this or know about this ....i don't have a lot of cash to throw down on a real nice guitar so i think this will suffice for it ...

if you are looking to spend that much, look at the taylor 110 and 214 also. i think they have a LOT better playability than the martin.

don't get it. I'm a big fan of Martins, but their cutaways sound like shit. Also, I have one of their X series guitars and while it has a real nice sound it lacks projection.
go away

Yeah, I wouldn't go for it. For that kind of money, you should be looking at a Seagull S6, an Alvarez (which are great in all price ranges), or a USED GUITAR. Used would be my first and strongest reccomendation. While I understand the appeal of buying a new guitar, I don't get it at all, especially at lower price ranges. For less money than what you'd pay for that Martin, I got a beautiful Yairi Alvarez in perfect condition, one owner, 15 years old without a scratch on it. It's now my brother's guitar as I am the proud owner of a Taylor 714ce, but that Alvarez is one of the few guitars that I pick up and still like to play after owning my Taylor.

LOOK AT USED GUITARS, ESPECIALLY IN SMALLER, MOM-AND-POP GUITAR SHOPS, NOT THE HUGE NATIONAL CHAIN SHOPS!!!!!!!!

And, if you're confident in what you're buying, Ebay is a great resource...
