It can take some bashing. One of my problems is that I've got some issues with string buzz on my OM.slimerdmb24 wrote:I wasn't really talking Martin or Taylor. I don't have brand alliances, I just want one that will feel good and sturdy and not rattle if I play the fuck out of it, I'm not what you'd call, "gentle."Kahn wrote:I've said it 100 times on these boards, I honestly think my Larrivee is a better guitar all-around than any Martin or Taylor double it's price.slimerdmb24 wrote:Kahn, am I going to get solid response from a Larivée if I strum very hard or play really aggresively? They've always seemed just the slightest bit brittle to me. I want a guitar that really feels like it's going to hold up.
I've set it up to my best abilities but i'm gonna try get it done professionally.
I'd say play one before you buy. I've had to adjust my playing a bit but it is a fantastic sounding guitar.
I'm also gonna get it refretted cause Larrivee seems to have a habit of putting huge frets on their guitars. Personally, I dont understand why.
