I need some help with this stuff. I have a M-Audio Duo USB Mic PreAmp and some condenser mics to record my guitar (the mics are Shure KSM 109's). I have tons of trouble with static interfering with my recordings, and have tried different recording software with the same results. When I plug my headphones into the unit and have it act as a standalone, the sound levels are perfect, but it has way too much static on my comp. I heard that USB devices can interfere with it so I unplugged all of them. I have the preamp running through my PCI USB 2.0 card. Can anyone help me with this because I dont think it's the mics or levels on the preamp. Thanks.
