cool pro edit question

cool pro edit question

ok when i try to record on a different track it records what i play and then whats on teh first track....for instance ill do the main part of a song on track 1 then i want to to back up to it on track 2 ....the back up track 2, gives me the back up plus whats on track 1
how do i stop that?

im lookin to get this prog, what version should i get, if nobody's answered your question by the time i get it i may be able to help.

Also the help sections for these type programs are usually really good.

pele, i dont know if u have but if not u need to download the studio plug in that is on the same website as the main download, its good for doing multitrack recording.

if you're using the multi track you want to look on the left you'll see 3 boxes. M S R, R = record, M -= Mute, S = Solo.

If you're recording a 2nd track you want to uncheck the r of the first track and check the r of the track you want to record to.

ok no all im getting is fuzz when i record...it will play or a lil bit but then it will go to all fuzz...

Yeah...could be something up with your computer hardware and not so much the program. I just downloaded 2.0 last night and it works like a dream for me...Thanks XoOsH for naming the program on this board cos I tried Acid and couldn't figure it out plus some other programs, this one so far is the easiest for me...so thanks a bunch...sounds good even with my crappy monitor-mic especially after the hiss reduce effect.
