mic stand help

ok im looking into buying this

but what i want to know is what kind of stand do i want for it, i already have a mic boom, with mic clip but it doesnt look like i will be able to mount this mic on that will i?

I have a mic with a shockmount like that. Mine just screws on to the end of the boom on the stand. I don't really know what you mean by mic clip. I think almost all stands are pretty standardized, so whatever you have on there should come off. Maybe I'm totally wrong, if so, disregard.

the shockmount will screw right on to the mic stand just like a mic clip

well hate to tell you but i got some bad news, got the mic today and it doesnt screw onto the stnad i have an ULTRA brand stand/boom and the treads on my shock mount are much smaller than the stand's

its just an adapter that screws into the mic clip, just unscrew it

if i'm wrong and it is not, i feel like an idiot... but i should be right

i unscrewed the mic clip and there are threads but the diameter of it is way larger than that of the shock mount for my mic, there isnt any adapter to remove so idk, as of right now its being held on with large amounts of duct tape so until i get a mic stand that works this will suffice.

ah ha! its tricky, there actualyl was an adapter screwed into the thread on the shock mount and i needed to use a flat head to unscrew it, it works now, lol thanks
