Martin/AURA electronics

Unread post by srslots81 » Mon Jul 25, 2005 8:58 am

so i ended up buying the Martin DC-16 RGTE Aura. The guitar is beautiful, and the sound is AMAZING, but i cant help but think the huge external preamp is a big eye sore. It just doesnt seem right to have this beautiful thing made from nature, with clunky electronics on it.

Anyway, does anyone have experience with the Fishman OnBoard Aura system and have a review on it? Having a huge hole cut out of the guitar is bothering me more then i thought it would.

well the option being getting a guitar without a built in preamp thats in the side of the guitar, and getting a soundhole piece installed aftermarket.
