i love the elixirs but have had many problems with them breaking prematurely. I have gone over pretty much all the possible problems that my guitar could cause with the breakage and have decided it must be them. Anyone else run into this. And i tries d'addario's for the first time and was astounded at how quickly they lost their tone. They sound dead after two days of regular play.

Always da' same. D'addario Lights.

Coated are too expensive, too quick and they have this film that wears off and leaves the string with a flaky residue.

D'addario ej16, buy them by the pack.

But you know the best strings for a guitar are cat whiskers. Although they tend to break easily.

Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": "I once saw this in a movie, it was about a bus that had to keep it's "speed" above 50, and if it's "speed" dropped, it would explode...I think it was called "The Bus That Couldn't Slow Down"!

For us living any other ways was nuts. with all the goodie-goodies working shitty jobs for bum pay checks, took the subway work and worried about their bills were dead. they were suckers, they had no balls. if we wanted something we just took it, and if anybody complained twice they got hit so hard believe me they never complained again
