Unread post by erikro » Wed Jun 22, 2005 11:55 am

Hi all,

I thought someone may be interested in this. I orederd an Epi Chet from Music123.com yesterday. They sell for $399 but I used the "seen it for a lower price" and got it for $339. I saw it at http://www.gtrheaven.com for $349. They are out of stock but I didnt tell music123 that. Hope this helps someone out.

I figured for that price I cant go wrong. I have always had good luck with epiphone. I wanted someting that I could strum the shit out of but be able to control the volume. With an acoustic I have to be a little considerate of my neighbors, and at night with my son sleeping. It can get a little too loud sometimes. Sure it isnt a gibson and I am not expecting one but I still think it will be half decent. I used to have an epiphone sg. I went to the guitar center with the intent on buying a gibson sg standard. Just for the hell of it I played the epiphone. I honestly couldnt tell the difference in sound. I was playing through a very expensive amp also. If there was a difference in sound it wasnt a $1000 difference. Now sure this is probably an isolated example. I have heard it is actually hard to find a good sounding sg standard. But the bottom line is that I am not a professional musician and for what I do with a guitar the epiphones have always been great. I also have the limited edition John Lennon epiphone casino. I got that more because I am a huge Lennon fan. That is one sweet guitar though.
