How fast does cedar normally age?

I know its years mostly. but since i got my guitar 3 months ago ive noticed its gotten much darker. when i first got it, it looked like almost agred spruce. now it looks like aging cedar. well heres some pics...

ok second pic is bad lighting but imagine it just a shade lighter, still much darker than the first

I think the both pics looks exactly the same... just two red crosses. :P

Aw... You changed it.. Damn it!

Anyway, its IMPOSSIBLE to judge because of the lightning.
For all my posts, just add "I think" in the beginning and "in my opinion" in the end. Now shut up!

well it may not be aging, just responding to the environment that is your house. if it was humidified at the store and now now or some other change that would cause a change in wood color, and aging is a good thing, makes your sound crisper and bassier

Has been in the sunlight much? That will cause the coloring to happen faster than normal.

The advantage to cedar is that its takes a very short time (months) compared to spruce (years) to reach its finest sound.
Its like... getting two birds stoned at once. (Ricky-trailor park boys).

yeah um lighting sucks for pic two. but i can tell a considerable difference. at the store i dont think the guitar was humidified. but the area was. my house is always between 72-75 degrees. not in sunlight much only when i leave it in the living roomm, cause theres a huge bay window there, but thats usually at night. and i know cedar ages quicker but its been 3 months. thats not too long. anyway keep them commin

sunlight will only make a guitar yellow

When ceder fully ages you will know, it looks about like entirely different wood.
