I played a T5 at Guitar Center yesterday. 1,999.99. I am in fucking love. All black like Dave's Chet. I'm buying it.

Anyone know exactly what the name refers to? I assume "T" for Taylor but what about the 5? What exactly makes these things so special/different than similair guitars? Whats the inside/bracing/etc like?

5 different sounds between the electric and acoustic sounds. there's a switch with 5 diifferent settings on it blending the electric and acoustic sounds (one side is electric and the more you move it, the lesser the electric sound comes out and the more the acoustic sound comes)

ahh, gotcha

I saw a pic on the website (I think) of the inside of the guitar, not sure if it was the front or back piece, and it looked like it had different levels going from the outside in, like steps. Not sure if you can understand that, anyone know what Im talking about or am I just crazy?

Let us know how it turns out for you.

I saw the promo video for this axe and to me, it's a gigging musician's dream - eliminating the need for several guitars.
