ES Blue/BBE 386 Acoustic preamp help
So I went to play tonight and the sound wouldnt go through the sound system. I had a Taylor 110-E with an ES Blue in it hooked in to a BBE model 386 acoustic preamp. Nothing went through. Not sure of the sound system set up, or what kind of system it was. It works fine on my computer and at the store. But even when we hooked it straight into an amp it wouldnt work.
I looked in the manual and there was a diagram for the set up. It said that it needs to go through the soundboard before the amp. Well this explains the sound system not working but doesnt explain why it wouldnt work in the amp. It was a little fender amp we tried so that might have been why.
Even though it may seem like I solved the problem myself I still want some opinions/suggestions of what to do to fix it or even if this is the problem. Thanks.

so your guitar records fine when plugged into your cpu, but nothing comes out of an amp when its plugged into one? Thats very strange... try different amp i guess

I could give a crap about the amp though. Really upset beacause of the PA. Not sure if what I think it is will work. I know almost didily about sound systems so anyone who does let me know the proper set up for a guitar, preamp, mixing board, power amp, and speakers would be.
did you chek and make sure its still runs in u cpu? maybe something brokeguitardmb wrote:Did. Nothing.praisedave wrote:so your guitar records fine when plugged into your cpu, but nothing comes out of an amp when its plugged into one? Thats very strange... try different amp i guess
