Danelectro or Jerry Jones

Well, I know about Danelectro effects for a long time. I didn't know they made guitars. I was looking through a very old Elderly Music catalog and stumbled upon a bunch of Danelectro guitars. They all look just like Jerry Jones guitars! So I thought they were the parent brand, and danelectro was the lower line of JJ. But, I read this http://www.proaudioreview.com/par/music ... ctro.shtml
It says the guy who did Danelectro invented those "lipstic pickups". So, JJ didn't come up with them. It also says they INVENTED the baritone. So, now's the question, who owns who?

Anyone got some info?

i just doubt they invented the baritone since the concept of baritone instruments has been around for centuries..they may have made the first baritone guitar, but I doubt that too

i believe that danelectro pioneered it and then became more interested in the effects biz and sold it off to jerry.
but yes danelectro was the first
