Have the x14's been re-voiced as well? As I said above, I really think I will be looking at mostly cutaways.

 thanks for getting my back there, fire.

anyway...seems like fire knows what he's talking about. ;) are you sure there isn't a store around you that carries Taylors or Martins?
did I suggest the 414 ltd. to you by chance? because I was pushing them for a while too...just becasue the Rosewood like on my 814...they also offer the odd looking (haven't played or really heard) Imbua for the back/sides...

nope. we were pushing the 414 ltd onto people at the same time, actually, which only helped me reaffirm my purchase.

and the Imbua doesn't really have a tone i like...it's decent, but i'll take rosewood over it anyday.

I just did a search on Taylor's site... there is one about 20 min away, so I'm good to go. I've never wanted to get back to school so much :). Now if only I didn't have to take the classes :(

Ehhhh...be careful of that 510. Mahogany sound IS NOT for everyone. I personally think it's decent but would never buy one for myself. It's fun to hear for a little.....but just not enough for me

Thats true about the mahogany. I really can't stand the D-15. That guitar kinda drove me away from Martins (*ducks*). Fire, wheres the love with the 310's??? Maybe my case is a lil extreme, cuz I got mine slightly used for $650. Now that aint too bad compared to spending $350 more for a D-16RGT.

I know, but I was just saying that for $650, a 310 is a good deal. Maybe not as great cuz it doesnt have EI rosewood, but still good nonetheless.
