Hooking up my guitar to my Powerbook
Hooking up my guitar to my Powerbook
I was told going through a mixer or pre-amp was the best bet. How does this look?

Also what adapter do I need to plug it straight in to my PB?

I think people think that maybe theres more chance I'll play if they sound mad and I'm like you guys are just pretending, I know why you go to the gym its for the steam room big boy, come in here with that '41' stuff, I see through that tiger DM 3-19
what kind of input does it have? probably 1/8 which means you need a 1/4>1/8 converter. and you only need a mixer if you are gonna record multiple tracks simultanesouly

mixers are expensive as balls. i saw a 100 channel digital mixer at a shane & shane concert. the sound guy said it cost $25000, and that was the lower model of that type.praisedave wrote:seems finr to me, got good reviews... although i wasnt aware "million dollar mixers" exitsed
as for the 1/4" F -> 1/8" M adapter, you can pick one up at radioshack for $3

yeah I pretty much just need something I can plug my guitar or piano in to. All I Want is to br able to record playing and singing at te same time. Can I do that with the ones you suggested?MWR wrote:If you don't need all those inputs get an ART Tube Mp or Presonus blue tube. Much better quality for not that much more(esp. on ebay). The tube in these preamps really helps to warm up the signal. I would stay away from the cheap behringer stuff.

I checked musician's friend and those were more expensive and got lower ratings
