"Forget about what you are escaping from," he said, quoting an old maxim of Kornblum's. "Reserve your anxiety for what you are escaping to."

busted stuff wrote:I would go with the Taylor 300 series.

I just bought a 412ce. It's a really nice guitar, but the 312 played almost the same. Plus I don't know if you are looking to have this thing amped, but if the 300's come with the expression system, there is nothing better. If not, the fishmans are great too. But bottom line, those are all good guitars, play them all and pick the one you like the best.....

hope this helps.
If I could I would own them all but I have to pick one. My only thought Is that I can put in a pick up down the Line on teh 314 and the 355. But since I have a limited fund I think that the 14 or the 55 are the way to go, but picking one is tough.

This might be just my opinion, but why are you so hung up on the grand auditoriums???? What about the Dreads. Personally I don't think there is a need for the GA's unless you fingerpick a lot. I sure as hell don't so I got a 310. It's a lot louder and better to play without electronics. Again, this is just my opinion, but if I were you I would check out Taylor's site or their catalog and evaluate the different body types to find one that fits your playing style best.

Comparing the 314 and 355 is comparing apples and oranges. Are you shopping for a 6-string or 12-string. If you're just looking for an all-purpose guitar, then I'd go with the 314 over the 355 in a second.

I have a Martin DM, and I just want a new toy, since I worked my ass of for the past 6 month and never bought myself anything during that time period (nothing good enough to make me not want this). Big Speen I want a Grand Aud because I do. I dont like the x10's or 12s

you dont like the x10's? thats almost a sin...

anyway - first thing you need to do establish what type of thing you want. do you want a 12 string? do you want ANOTHER 6 string? choose one, then we'll help you from there.
