good amp with two/three inputs...

Unread post by sbhanot » Mon Feb 07, 2005 8:57 pm

Hi all,
So I just started this band that plays dave matthewsish stuff (some damien rice, jack johnson, but also stuff with a bit of electric guitar, like "Breakfast at Tiffany's," etc.), and I wanted to buy an Amp that had two input jacks, and could handle the playing of an acoustic guitar and an electric guitar (one with 3 would be even better, because then the bass can be plugged in too...) - does anyone have any recommendations as to what would be a good amp for this, keeping in mind that i'm not rich? Thanks guys!

http://www.yorkville.com/products.asp?i ... 17&type=32

costs about $400 but worth it!

its what i use, it has 2 inputs, either 1 guitar, 1 mic, or 2 guitars, 16 effects, with 2 banks so all effects have a variation, a bass simulator aswell. also has a feedback reducer, and is 100 watts. very very nice great amp i recomend!

actually you could have 2 guitars 1 mic, cause theres a balanced input aswell on it, so itd be channel 1 is dedicated to a guitar, and channel 2 has a guitar and mic.

any other good amps of this style, or does this look like a good buy - the price seems pretty reasonable...

not as bad as a bass would be. dont use a bass with a guitar amp, the signals are too low frequency and can really mess things up

Soldano amps are made to give good sound for electric and acoustics i believe...

no, you wont get distortion, but you will have delay options and reverb and allot of other stuff.

....uh no. Ibanez TS9 Tubescreamer. You don't want "distortion" you want overdrive.

I own the boss and the tubescreamer and I would say I use the tubescreamer WAY more often. the Boss is good for rock, but for anthing bluesy or classic rock soloing the overdrivin tube amp sound is the one you are looking for.
