Buying a baritone

I keep looking at these Danelectro reissue baritones on Ebay. They sell for roughly just over 200 not including shipping. Ive never played one before and i wondered if it would be worth having it around considering its only 200$.

Is it worth it?

Anyone played one before?

i always thought it would be a good idea to have a baritone. you can just capo up to 5 when u play normally and then freekers just a capo move away. youd just have to remove the capo when not playing to prevent uber fretware on 5. i doubt these things are dreams to play, but its prolly worth 200.

danelectros are suprisingly nice. i dont play guitar(i play bass) but ive played guitars and i know the feels that martins, taylors, gibsons have...the danelectro is certainly no gibson, but in my opinion, it had a very comforting feel.

There are 6-string basses though. Ive even heard of 12-string basses.

they make all kinds of bases..but a baritone isn't tuned the same as a bass

I have to say, I love the Fender Baritone that Coldplay uses. It sounds really nice on the Coldplay Live 2003 DVD

theres 12, theres 10, theres 8, everying on bass. but this guy had a denelctro bari electric, and was listing as either a baritone guitar or a 6 string bass.

if i did buy it i take it they make bigger gauge strings for it right?

im really thinking about getting it, everyone i ever talked to said that its too big for their hands but then again none of them can really stretch to some of the basic dave chords ex. 41, Trippin Billies.

i think i might just wait for awhile. the price seems to be set on just over 200$.

i did see the guy selling it as a 6 string bass that shit is hilarious. its not as worse as people saying its a gibson les paul when in the pictures its clearly an epiphone.

also just curious if i put a capo on the 12th fret to make it an octave higher would that be just like having it in raised b?

Actualy, Danelectro is associated with Jerry Jones. I saw a cheap Danelectro 6 string guitar, and it looked just like a Jerry Jones guitar.
