Can you tune the E to G.....

Unread post by fenster1977 » Wed Jan 12, 2005 6:13 pm

without it snapping?

somebody came up with a tab for J. Johnson's "The Cove" and he has it with a G bass note through the whole thing.

the tab actually says to do it, but i dunno. and i don't wanna test it.

anybody ever tried it? i've never gone more than a half step.

don't you use the A string from a set of ex lights in place of the low E when you tune to Raised B?

so you have to use a b string in the place where the high e string is and switch other strings up as well.. if you try to raise it to b it will break

You can put your E up to a G, I do it for Pearl Jam's Daughter.
