Since the above poster was quite vague, I'll help you out. Dave uses D'Addario EXP15 and D'Addario EJ39 strings. The EXP15 are his main choice: they are coated, last long, sound great, and don't have a slippery feel like Elixirs do. The EJ39 are for 12 string guitars, so I assume the ones you want are the EXP15's. I use them myself and they are great.

But...I'd highly reccommend trying the EXP 16s. Incredible strings. They're the Mediums. The 15s are lights.
It may take a day or 2 to get used to Meduims, but you'll love the sound and tone that comes out of your guitar. I promise. No, really. I promise. Really.
Edit: messed something up.

Actually the EXP15's are extra lights:

..and the EXP16's are lights. Happy strings, still prefer EJ16. Hooray for cheap.

I can't believe that we would lie in our graves wondering if we had spent our living days well, and I can't believe that we would lie in our graves dreaming of things that we might have been...

The D'Addario site says (http://www.daddariostrings.com/viewfull ... =100003804) he uses EXP15's (extra lights) and EJ39 (12 string), but who knows.. anyone know if he uses lights or mediums for his dreads?

Hrm. Every other Dave site I've ever seen says he uses EXP16's, and his strings don't sound like lights to me.SpinningMonkey wrote:The D'Addario site says (http://www.daddariostrings.com/viewfull ... =100003804) he uses EXP15's (extra lights) and EJ39 (12 string), but who knows.. anyone know if he uses lights or mediums for his dreads?
