what d'you think about these guitars?
i own one and it's quite nice - it has good sound when i play live and it's mindblowing when i record it

what's your opinion?

I like the sound of them, but I could never get comfortable with one on my lap, because it kept on sliding off due to the curved back.

unplugged they sound like shit, but when you plug up they are amazing... and like he said, i just cant play with em, those bowled backs mess me up.

it's true that there are more comfortable guitars - especialy when you got big belly like i got :D

so i keep it as high as i can and then is ok

but they sound fucking great

unplugged i think they sound muffled. but plugged in they are godlike. some of the ones with the f'ed up sound holes look retarded.

i saw some 1992 video and dave played there oviation
it should be mentioned in dave's gear section!!!!

i think they are more comfortable to sit with than standing and with a strap.

they arent THAT horrible unplugged.. but are definitley at there best plugged in. I like them ^_^ Thats why i have an imitation one.

And i LOVE the messed up soundholed ones.. (with the multi type wood)..
mine has that. ^_^

i hate them. mostly cause i love to mic my guitar instead of using the pickup, and like most people said, unplugged they sound like crap. and like everyone else said, you pretty much have to have a degree to play them w/o them flipping up on you cause of the back. so same as everyone else pretty much.
