guitar recorder
guitar recorder
i qm looking into getting something to record guitar onto my computer maybe somethin with effects too, any suggestions about what i should get? looking to spend like 400-500 bucks
these are two seperate things, as far as effects go, you should probably go with separate pedals (line 6 makes some good ones) but a multi is not out of the question. and as far as recording, if you're not planning on recording multiple tracks at once you can spend your dough on a nice soundcard, if you want multiple tracks you'll need to get a mixer. good luck

DigiDesign MBox. It comes with the industry standard ProTools LE (just came out with version 6.7). It has all the effect built in and you can edit, mix, bounce to different format, etc. It has two inputs with top notch preamps so you can play and sing and record both simulaneously. It also comes with a number of cool plug-ins. Every small home studio should have this without question.
It'll be about $450. Worth EVERY penny.

I am ignorant to anything related to guitars. You can use a bunch of pedals with an acoustic guitar and it will sound alright? I know some people use pedals, but I thought there were only a handful of effects that you could use on an acoustic.filmdude100cms wrote:http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/g=h ... id/482222/
