You can get a Martin D-18, D-28, HD-28, D-35, Taylor 510, 514, 710, 714 all for under $2000....Coldchillin23222 wrote:because for that much, my Tak sounded better than the Martins I played for that range. The $2000+ Martins and Taylors are the only ones worth buying IMO.rin wrote:if you were gonna spend that much, why not get a martin or taylor, eh?
I wanna buy one of these - which one? a different one?

used is the best way to go. haha. especially if you really don't care too much about little tiny dings in places that make no difference to sound.
used 814.
i don't like ibanez by the way....but whatever you choose, its gotta be what you like.

yea my tak is very very good an fp360sc, i've seen it anywhere from mid $1,000 to $2,200, but I got it for free!!! the only thing that bugs is the digital built in pre-amp runs on batteries, and if the batteries die so does the electronics. but it's all good i just put new ones in before every show. plus a built in tuner. very nice.

Buy the one that sounds the best. Dont buy it online. I dont like alvarez for some reason. Tak is alright. Ibanez is really developing with their line of acoustic tho, def worth it. But again, buy what sounds best. Martin DM is a great option too i agree.sbhanot wrote:Hey guys,
i currently own a takamine eg540sc and a martin DM, which i'm in the process of selling and i'm in the market for a nice dreadnaught cutaway: i liked a takamine and a couple of Ibanez guitars that I saw

So, to conclude, I bought the Ibanez AW200CE-VV after I went into the store and played it and the Ibanez AW120CE. I really liked them both, but the 200 really sounded full and the maple really brought out the high notes - it had a really beautiful full sound, and the fishman pickup was sweet! What's more, the shop I played them at was selling it for 600 bucks, so i went to this other store, which didnt have them in stock, but said they could get it by the end of January and I bought it from them for only 449 bucks!! So basically, I got a SWEET deal on a beautiful instrument, so i am happy now
Thanks for all your help and stuff - see you around the bend.
